Project Based Learning in Teaching Mandarin as Foreign Language: Theory to Practice

Abstract: Project-based learning (PjBL) emerges as a model that meets the needs of both teachers and students in teaching and learning a foreign language effectively. PjBL in the field of Mandarin as Foreign Language (MFL) are still new. This article with the aims to discuss the definition and the benefits of PjBL. It is also deals with the steps for implementing the PjBL project in class. Finally, the suggestion of implementing PjBL activities in Mandarin class for beginners have been detailed.
