Project Procurement Method Selection Using a Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Method with Interval Neutrosophic Sets

Abstract: Project procurement method (PPM) selection influences the efficiency of project implementation. Owners are presented with different options for project delivery. However, selecting the appropriate PPM poses great challenges to owners, given the existence of ambiguous information. The interval neutrosophic set (INS) shows power to handle imprecise and ambiguous information. This paper aims to develop a PPM selection model under an interval neutrosophic environment for owners. The main contributions of this pape… Show more

“…On the basis of interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy set (IVIFS) theory, An et al (2018) proposed a group decision making method for PPP model selection. Su et al (2019) introduced the similarity measure with interval neutrosophic information, by which a PPP model selection method with interval neutrosophic set is proposed.…”

“…In the area of project management, Saleh Al-Subhi et al [24] use the neutrosophic sets and propose a new decision making model based on neutrosophic cognitive maps and compare the proposed approach with a traditional model in order to prove its efficiency and efficacy. Perez Pupo et al [25] use the neutrosophic theory for project management decisions, while Su et al [26] develop a project procurement method selection model under an interval neutrosophic environment. The results gathered in the papers are compared with exiting methods and the results are encouraging.…”

“…For example, An et al [1] established a group decision-making model for PDS selection under the interval intuitionistic fuzzy setting, wherein a new weight determination for a decision-maker is introduced by using the information utility level. Su et al [10] developed a project procurement method selection with interval neutrosophic sets from a multi-criteria decision-making view. Mafakheri et al [11] utilized the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) interval to determine the interval priorities for alternative PDSs, which were then ranked using rough set theory.…”
