Abstract:Background:
We aimed to report the second case of mitral valve plasty (MVP) for acute mitral regurgitation (MR) due to mitral valve dysplasia in a young small dog.
Case Description:
A 5-month-old female Jack Russell, weighing 3.5 kg, presented with dyspnea and collapse upon excitation. Acute MR with pulmonary edema due to chordal rupture was diagnosed with a suspected congenital mitral valve anomaly.
