Promiscuous specialists: Host specificity patterns among generalist louse flies

Abstract: Ectoparasites such as louse flies (Diptera: Hippoboscidae) have tendency for host specialization, which is driven by adaptation to host biology as well as competition avoidance between parasites of the same host.
