A new way of spending leisure time browsing the Internet, using social networking sites, and playing games has created a new health problem: cell phone addiction. So-called phonoholism or netholism is most thriving among young people, who prioritize entertainment in the real world, which most often necessitates physical activity, over entertainment in the virtual world, which requires a more static approach. However, some companies have gone against the traditional use of phone games by creating multimedia city games that require a dynamic-movement approach. The aim of this review is to gather current theoretical knowledge about electronic forms of entertainment in the context of their influence on users' physical activity, creation of health potential and formation of risk of addiction to such forms of entertainment.

Physical activity is one of the important pillars helping to maintain well-being and health. The aim of the article was to try to identify the directions of changes in students' attitudes towards physical activity between 2015 and 2023, including the aspect of monitoring movement and exercise using modern technologies. The article presents research conducted on a group of 180 students of physical education and tourism and recreation. The declared physical activity of the students was analysed, along with the need to monitor movement using electronic devices. A shortened version of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) was used as the research tool. The questionnaire was modified by adding questions on monitoring physical activity. Analysis of the results shows that the declared physical activity has changed over the analysed time period. In 2015, an average of 74.5% of the students in the studied faculties declared their activity as high, while in 2023, 38.5% of the students did so. In 2015, an average of 25.5% of the students surveyed declared their physical activity, while in 2023, an average activity was declared by 20% of the students surveyed. Low activity was declared by 1% in 2015 and by an average of 41.5% of students in 2023. There was no determinant effect of the gender of the surveyed students on the level of physical activity. An increase in the number of students using modern technology to monitor their own physical activity was found over the analysed time period.

Purpose. Identification of the functions performed by bicycle mobile applications for individual groups of recipients (stakeholders).Purpose. Identification of the functions performed by bicycle mobile applications for individual groups of recipients (stakeholders).Method. The article is based on the analysis of scientific literature on the subject, enriched by Internet sources, a case study and a comparative analysis of Amistad’s bicycle mobile applications, being their leading producer on the Polish market. Analysis has been carried out based on data from Google Play and App Store platforms, as well as information from the company’s website, observation of activities in the field of B2A2C marketing of this company, as well as a diagnostic survey and unstructured interviews with its head director.Results. A model of functions regarding cycling mobile applications for individual stakeholders and their typification was formulated. The reasons for the limited effectiveness of the interface and business functions of cycling mobile applications are their limited popularity caused by variation in the attractiveness of combining functions, the frequency of updates and the effectiveness of the application promotion system. The most important functions of bicycle mobile applications are related to the mechanisms of accelerating interaction and information flow: social and gamification features related to bicycle navigation.Research and conclusions limitations. Local governments and non-governmental organisations were not examined from the point of view of their perception concerning the functions of cycling mobile applications and effectiveness in their implementation.Practical implications. They refer to the process of designing bicycle mobile applications and creating shared value with their use. They can also contribute to increasing the rationality of public (social) spending allocated to the procurement of mobile applications.Originality. So far, no other in-depth studies on bicycle applications of Polish developers have been conducted.Type of paper. An article presenting the results of literature and empirical research.
