Abstract:We introduce a two-dimensional chirped finite energy Pearcey beams (FEPB) for the first time and investigate the propagation dynamics. First, we applied Huygens-Fresnel integral to derive an explicit analytical expression which is suitable for describing FEPB propagation in free space. It is interesting to find that FEPB will experience three typical propagation patterns, i.e., single-autofocusing case, dual-autofocusing case and non-autofocusing diffraction case, only depending on the value of the input asymm… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
