Abstract:In ultrarelativistic heavy ion collisions, enormous magnetic fields are generated because of fastmoving charged particles. In the presence of these magnetic fields, the spin of particles is aligned either in the parallel or in the antiparallel direction with respect to the direction of the magnetic field. A finite magnetization is thus produced. It is known that a finite magnetic susceptibility, χ m , changes the evolution of the energy density of the quark-gluon plasma (QGP), which is believed to be created i… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
