Properties of compressed Xe gas as the detector medium for high-pressure Xe spectrometers

Abstract: This paper describes the results of studies of the physical properties of high-pressure xenon gas as sensitive medium for low energy (0.1-10 MeV) gamma-ray detectors:1)the purification of xenon: 2) the electron mobility: 3) the intrinsic (or physical) energy resolution and; 4) the density dependence of the W-value and Fano-factor.
