The other important property that has made NiTi alloy popular in the field of endodontic is its superior flexibility compared to that of stainless tools, which enables the root canal preparation preserving the tooth structure (Tepel et al, 1997) at minimum discomfitures to the patient. The two remarkable properties namely the shape memory effect and superelasticity of the alloy are largely governed by the chemical composition, the thermal and mechanical history of the alloy including the final cold finishing operation.…”
