Properties of Mixed System of N‐Coco Propylene Bis‐guanidine Acetate (CPGA) and Nonionic Surfactants

Abstract: To study the effect of nonionic surfactant on the properties of cationic surfactant N‐coco propylene bis‐guanidine acetate (CPGA), different ratios of CPGA and fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether (AEO9) or alkyl polyglycoside (APG1214) were mixed, respectively. The surface activity, interaction parameters, and the application performances of wetting, emulsification and foam of the mixed system were investigated systematically. After the addition of AEO9 or APG1214, the critical micelle concentration (CMC) of m… Show more

“…where n 1 = 3 and n 2 = 1 for pure ADDE and APG, respectively, and x s 1 is the molar fractions of ADDE in the mixed adsorption interface. 41 For an ideal mixed system, that is no mutual interaction between the two components, the CMC value of the mixed system (cmc ideal ) can be obtained according to Clint's model as shown in eqn (4). where a 1 is the molar fraction of ADDE in the total mixed solution (a ADDE ), c m 1 and c m 2 are the CMC values of pure ADDE and APG individually.…”
