“…(b), the Gd 1− x La x BaCuFeO 5+δ ceramics (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.4) are found to be thermally stable (only 0.4% weight loss at most) in the whole temperature, whereas a large weight loss can be observed in the compound with x = 0.5 at 700 K. One of the possible reasons may be the sample is regarded as the ferrocuprate solid solution between GdBaCuFeO 5+δ and LaBaCuFeO 5+δ . In addition, some articles have reported that the electrical conductivity of LaBaCuFeO 5+δ decreases due to the release of weakly bonded oxygen . Thus, in the present case, the decrease in the electrical conductivity of Gd 0.5 La 0.5 BaCuFeO 5+δ may be dominated by the transport properties of LaBaCuFeO 5+δ .…”
