Abstract:We study rotating Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton black holes in odd dimensions. We analyze the domain of existence of these black holes, concentrating on its boundary, constituted by extremal black holes. These extremal black holes show a series of surprising properties. For instance, their horizon area is proportional to their angular momentum, while for pure extremal Einstein-Maxwell black holes two types of behaviors (branches) are possible. Moreover, we find an analogy between the extremal rotating EMd black hol… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
