Properties of squeezed-state excitations

Abstract: The photon distribution function of a discrete series of excitations of squeezed coherent states is given explicitly in terms of Hermite polynomials of two variables. The Wigner and the coherent-state quasiprobabilities are also presented in closed form through the Hermite polynomials and their limiting cases. Expectation values of photon numbers and their dispersion are calculated. Some three-dimensional plots of photon distributions for different squeezing parameters demonstrating oscillatory behaviour are g… Show more

“…The distribution properties of NRI along the transmission line is an attractive characteristic. Because the DSFS can provide plenty of quantum states, many mesoscopic systems were investigated in it theoretically and experimentally [18][19][20][21][23][24][25][26]. Fig.2 shows the evolution of NRI in DSFS (n=5) and displaced squeezed state (n=0) within the length of unit cell circuit z 0 .…”

“…In this article, the quantum properties of NRI in the lossy transmission line is discussed in a displaced squeezed Fock state(DSFS). The DSFS can be produced by the applications of optical and electric fields in some physical system [18][19][20][21] [22] and many nonclassical effects are revealed in these states [23][24][25][26]. The quantum effect on the NRI of the quantum lossy LHTLs will be shown in the DSFS mathematically.…”

“…Observations of squeezed states of light, generated by advanced methods of nonlinear optics, are discussed in [7], [14], [62], [65] (see also the references therein). Various aspects of the corresponding photon statistics and photon-counting were studied in detail [4], [5], [15], [16], [28], [37], [48], [55], [69], [71], [72], [73], [74], [75], [87], [88], [89], [92], [93], [96].…”

“…The ECS exhibits some nonclassical properties such as subpoissonnian photon statistics and squeezing in one of the quadratures of the radiation field, etc. Several other excited quantum states, even and odd ECS [2], excited squeezed states [3][4][5], and excited thermal states [6,7] have been studied. These excited quantum states can be prepared by conditional measurement on a beam splitter [8].…”
