Various types of microbes, such as bacteria (e.g., E. coli, Klebsiella aerogenes, and Bacillus subtillis) and fungi (Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus niger, and Penicillium expansum) lost their ability of growth when they were exposed to the aqueous extract of M. oleifera leaves (24).
