Properties of the Superconducting State in Hexagonal BaSn5

Abstract: The thermodynamic properties of the superconducting state in hexagonal BaSn5 superconductor have been investigated. It has been shown that: (i) the critical value of the Coulomb pseudopotential is equal to 0.152; (ii) the dimensionless ratios: 2∆ (0) /kBTC, ∆C (TC) /C N (TC) and TCC N (TC) /H 2 C (0) are equal to: 3.88, 1.78, and 0.151, respectively; (iii) the ratio of the effective to bare electron mass reaches maximum of 1.96 for T = TC.
