The response to oestrogenic stimu¬ lation, however, is reduced in affected ewes when measured by the RNA : DNA ratio in the uterus (Tang & Adams, 1982), or by cervical mucus produc¬ tion and keratinization of vaginal epithelium (Adams, 1979).
