Proposed New Analytical Method of Tower Load in Large-Span Arch Bridge Cable Lifting Construction

Abstract: The cable lifting construction method is the most widely used construction method for large-span arch bridges. The correct calculation and analysis of cable lifting construction is essential to ensure the safety and linearity in the construction of arch bridges. The existing research mainly focuses on the construction scheme and finite element analysis of cable lifting for large-span arch bridges. There is relatively little research on calculation theory, and there is no analytical method for cable lifting con… Show more

“…The sensor adopts a lightweight structure to ensure that the strain gauge and the structure are measured deformation synchronously; the vibration chord is imported into a special superstrong steel wire; the anchoring welding process for the international standard anchoring method; high stability, high performance, high accuracy, etc., are the characteristics of the sensor, and it is designed to have a long service life [11] ; the sensor with a T in the tail indicates that the internal semiconductor temperature sensors are set up, and can be corrected for the temperature; the intelligent sensor directly displays the strain value (𝜇𝜀 ), not just the frequency of the vibrating string. The parameters of the sensor are shown in Table 1.…”

“…The cable hoisting system mainly consists of cable towers, anchorages, main cables, hoisting cables, pulling cables, fixed saddles, traveling cranes (Figure 1), spreaders, hoisting and traction winches, automation control systems and other major systems [1,2] (Figure 2). The cable hoisting system mainly consists of cable towers, anchorages, main cables, hoisting cables, pulling cables, fixed saddles, traveling cranes (Figure 1), spreaders, hoisting and traction winches, automation control systems and other major systems [1,2] (Figure 2). When the crane is traveling with a load, the main cable under its action will be forced to vibrate, resulting in a load greater than the static load under the action of deformation and internal force; this phenomenon is the "coupling vibration" effect.…”

“…So, the forced vibration of the main cable will be different from the single cable vibration.
