“…A large number of scientific studies have been devoted to the subject of corrosion inhibitors for steel in acidic media. [16][17][18][19][20] Hameed et al [15] conducted a study to investigate the use of Indomethacin in the form of expired drugs as a corrosion inhibitor for carbon steel in 1.0 M HCl solution using chemical and electrochemical techniques, namely, weight loss, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), potentiodynamic polarization, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results showed that expired Indocin capsules were a good inhibitor of corrosion where the inhibition efficiency reached 83% at 500 ppm of the used inhibitors.…”
