Prospective comparison of single encounter versus distributed laparoscopic training in novice learners

Abstract: BACKGROUND: The traditional model of teaching surgical skills on “real” patients using graded responsibility is being seriously questioned, and there is a paradigm shift toward exploiting simulators.
