Abstract: BACKGROUND: Prior clinical trials have demonstrated the efficacy of ultrasound-facilitated catheter-directed thrombolysis (USCDT) for the treatment of acute intermediate-risk pulmonary embolism (PE) using reduced thrombolytic doses and shorter infusion durations.
