Prospects for the Application of Methods of Scientific Music Therapy and Art Therapy to Elderly Patients in the Conditions of Sanatorium Treatment

Abstract

This article is devoted to the prospects of applying scientific music therapy as psychophysiological assistance to elderly and senile people during their stay in a sanatorium-resort institution. The issues of the psychosomatic status of elderly and senile patients and the possible consequences of psychosomatic disorders, as well as the possibility of using scientific music therapy in the treatment of psychosomatic diseases and other health disorders are discussed. The article presents a description of receptive and active methods of scientific music therapy, as well as methods of music and art therapy in the framework of treatment, rehabilitation and rehabilitation in sanatorium conditions. The expediency and necessity of active introduction and application of scientific music therapy technologies to elderly patients in the conditions of sanatorium treatment is substantiated.
