Prospects of using CaY2S4–Yb2S3 within sensors sensitive towards sulfur–containing gases

Abstract: The work demonstrates the prospects of using solid electrolytes of CaY 2 S 4 -Yb 2 S 3 within electro chemical sensors sensitive towards hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide. The range of temperature for the opti mum sensor operation is determined: 600-900 K. It is found that the suggested solid-state electrochemical sensor allows determining sulfur dioxide and hydrogen sulfide qualitatively and quantitatively in the concen tration range of 3.0 × 10 -9 to 1.0 × 10 -5 M and 3.0 × 10 -8 to 1.0 × 10 -5 M, respecti… Show more
