Prostaglandin E2 inhibits neutrophil extracellular trap formation through production of cyclic AMP

Abstract: BACKGROUND AND PURPOSEUpon stimulation, neutrophils release their nuclear contents called neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs), which contain unfolded chromatin and lysosomal enzymes.
