Abstract: The prostaglandin endoperoxide H 2 synthase (PGHS) isozymes 1 and 2 are membrane bound, heme‐dependent enzymes that catalyze the committed step in the conversion of polyunsaturated fatty acids to prostanoids and thromboxanes.
