Abstract: Purpose Doxorubicin (DOX) is one of the most commonly prescribed anti-cancer drugs. However, DOX-induced hepatotoxicity is a dose-limiting side effect. This study aimed to clarify the potential protective effects of metformin on DOX-induced hepatotoxicity in rats.
