Provenance of Beach Sands in the Northern Gulf of Guinea, SW Cameroon

Abstract: Petrographical, mineralogical and geochemical studies were carried out on the beach sands of Limbe (South-West Cameroon) to highlight their provenance, source rocks alteration and the tectonic framework. The Limbe beach sediments were classified as sandy litharenite type. The sediments were derived from mafic and andesite source rocks.
