Proverbs With the Zoonym Component in the Light of the Linguo-Ecological Approach

Abstract

The article considers proverbs and anti-proverbs with the zoonym component with respect to their ecological and non-ecological functioning in speech. The material for the study is selected from the Russian National Corpus on the principle of topicality. The authors cover the issues of language ecology, the development of this modern research direction, its problems and prospects as well. It is ascertained that paroemias with the zoonym component and their transformations are mostly ecological, that is they do not violate the ecology of speech, communication and are used in order to preserve linguistic ecological balance.
