Proximal Medial Tibial Bone Graft Harvesting in Foot and Ankle Surgery

Abstract: Cancellous bone graft harvesting from proximal tibia is usually by a lateral approach. We describe our technique and results in harvesting proximal tibia bone graft by a medial approach in foot and ankle surgery. Our results confirm that medial proximal tibial bone graft harvesting is a relatively safe and easy procedure to obtain adequate amount of autogenous cancellous bone graft.
