Abstract:It is common knowledge that any topological group that satisfies the lowest separation axiom, T0, is immediately Hausdorff and completely regular; however, this is not the case for normality. This motivates us to introduce the concept of pseudo-normal groups along with pseudo-Tychonoff topological groups as generalizations of the normality and Tychonoffness of topological groups, respectively. We show that every pseudo-normal (resp. pseudo-Tychonoff) topological group is normal (resp. Tychonoff). Generally, th… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
