Pseudoexfoliation Syndrome and Pseudoexfoliation Glaucoma

Abstract: BACKGROUNDPseudoexfoliation syndrome is a systemic disorder characterised by the deposition of white dandruff-like material within the anterior segment of the eye and other organs such as the heart, lungs and kidneys. The deposition of this material in the trabecular meshwork can result in aqueous flow obstruction, raised intraocular pressure and glaucoma.
