Pseudotumor orbit-bilateral v/s unilateral: a case study of two orbital pseudotumor cases

Abstract: Orbital pseudotumor is a non-granulomatous inflammation of orbital soft tissue for unknown etiology. In the first case, a 35-year-old female presented with bilateral painless upper eyelid swelling since 3years.No proptosis, no extra ocular movements restriction of both eyes was noted. Best corrected visual acuity both eye: 6/6, N6. USG B-Scan and CECT revealed bilateral lacrimal gland enlargement with bulky muscles and tendons. USG guided FNAC confirmed pseudotumor which showed prompt response to steroids but … Show more

“…SYC showed highest increase in TBA values than all DAG-based soy yogurts for a period of 28 d. Lowest increase in TBA values were observed in RBO DAG and SESO DAG during storage which may be due to the presence of antioxidants such as α-tocopherol, tocotrienols, oryzanol in RBO, and sesamol-sesamin in sesame oil, respectively. [4] RBO DAGs recorded a value of 0.005 AE 0.001 mmol of MDA/ kg oil extracted from yogurt; p 0.05 initially and The results of the present study were in agreement with other researchers who confirmed an increase in TBA values of vegetable oils during storage period. [27,28] The results also indicated that DAG enriched vegetable oil reduces the development of off-flavor in soy yogurts and did not cause perceptible changes up to one month of refrigerated storage.…”

“…[3] This unique physicochemical property of DAG has been shown to be beneficial in influencing postprandial lipemia and body fat accumulation which reduces the risk factors for many diseases. [4] DAG oils are accepted as Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and in Japan Ministry of Health and Welfare has been evaluated as "Food for Specified Health Use." Thus preparation and subsequent consumption of DAG enriched food products have gained significant consideration for their potential role in improving health.…”
