Abstract: symptom that became worse with treatment. Salient impacts included anxiety, depression, fear, worry about remission, and reduced ability to maintain social and familial roles. CONCLUSIONS: Qualitative research indicates that AML patients experience multiple disturbing symptoms that affect their lives; these symptoms and impacts should be discussed with treating clinicians.
