Psychoanalysis and radical philistinism in the museum

Abstract: This article proposes a psychoanalytic reading of 'radical philistinism' in museum contexts. Radical philistinism in the museum is defined as the proposition that curatorship can continue while civilisation falls and cultivation fails.
