IntroductionPeople with vestibular disorders frequently experience reduced quality of life and challenges with activities of daily living. Anxiety, depression and cognitive problems often co‐present with vestibular disorders and can aggravate symptoms and prolong clinical recovery. We aimed to gain in‐depth insights into the impact of vestibular disorders and the contribution of psychological factors by exploring multistakeholder perspectives.MethodsSemistructured interviews were conducted between October 2021 and March 2022 with 47 participants in the United Kingdom including: 20 patients (age M = 50.45 ± 13.75; 15 females), nine family members (age M = 61.0 ± 14.10; four females), and 18 healthcare professionals. Data were analysed using framework analysis.ResultsVestibular disorders impact diverse aspects of patients' lives including work, household chores, socialising, and relationships with family and friends. Being unable to engage in valued activities or fulfil social roles contributes to feelings of grief and frustration, affecting identity, confidence, and autonomy. Anxiety and low mood contribute to negative thought processes, avoidance, and social withdrawal, which can impede clinical recovery through reduced activity levels, and end engagement with treatment. Coping strategies were thought to help empower patients to self‐manage their symptoms and regain a sense of control, but these require oversight from healthcare providers.ConclusionsDaily activity limitations, social participation restrictions, and psychological distress can interact to impact quality of life, sense of self, and clinical recovery amongst people with vestibular disorders. Information and resources could aid societal awareness of the impact of vestibular disorders and help patients and families feel understood. An individualised and comprehensive approach that concurrently addresses mental, physical, social, and occupational needs is likely to be beneficial.Patient or Public ContributionTwo group meetings were held at the beginning and end of the study with a patient and public involvement network formed of people with vestibular disorders and family members. These individuals commented on the study aims, interview schedule, participant recruitment practices, and interpretation of the themes identified. Two core patient members were involved at all stages of the research. These individuals contributed to the formulation of the interview schedule, development and application of the coding scheme, development and interpretation of themes, and preparation of the final manuscript.

This study aimed to analyze the data of patients presenting with dizziness at our hospital’s emergency department (ED) by determining the etiology of dizziness and to contribute to the medical data of our country and the literature. This prospective study was conducted with 116 volunteering patients who presented to the Emergency Department of Afyon Kocatepe University, Faculty of Medicine for one year with dizziness complaints. After the anamnesis, physical examination, diagnostic tests (blood tests, Dix-Hallpike maneuver, audiological-vestibular tests, carotid-vertebral artery color Doppler ultrasonography, and computerized brain tomography), and psychiatric interrogation, the patients were divided into four etiology groups: Peripheral, central, psychogenic, and other causes of dizziness. Clinical features were compared between peripheral and central dizziness groups. A total of 116 (3.4%) of patient admissions to the emergency department complained of dizziness. Forty-nine (42.2%) of these patients were male, 67 (57.8%) were female. In the cohort, 33.9% were under 40, and dizziness increased with older age. Seventy (60.3%) patients had no formal education or were primary school graduates. The initial evaluation at the ED revealed that dizziness mostly shifted with the position (71.6%) and was mainly accompanied by headache (67.2%). Based on their diagnosis, 50 patients (43.1%) were in the peripheral group, 30 patients (25.8%) were in the central group, 22 patients (19%) were in the psychogenic dizziness group, and 14 patients (12%) were in the other causes group. Intergroup analysis between peripheral and central vertigo groups identified that the hearing loss, ear fullness, recent upper respiratory tract infection (URTI), nausea, vomiting, and shifting position was statistically significant (p<0.05). Dizziness is one of the common complaints of admission to the ED and may arise from different etiologies. Our study demonstrated that psychogenic dizziness was common in this patient cohort.

Primary prevention of cerebrovascular diseases is not realized, developed aspect of the program, such as dietary habits, blood pressure control, lipid concentrations, assessment of metabolic disorders - are not used as a single unit. The first step in the solving of this problem, the main recommendation of the Guide to the primary prevention of CVD which based on the fact that the risk of disease should be evaluated for all patients on the basis of a careful study of medical history, physical examination, and the results of certain lab tests. The determina-tion monitoring purposes of different risk factors with the obligatory account of individual risk factors - it is one of the advantages in identifying those who have a higher risk of developing cerebral accidents.Proved that to the high-risk group of stroke include the patients with vertigo (other neurologic symptoms), especially men of middle and old age. Furthermore, during the imaging of the brain in most patients with dizziness have been identified unexpressed signs of a lesion of the barrel or the cerebellum, which resemble the clinical manifestations of peripheral vestibular disorders. Recent studies have shown that the dizziness is often a basic of vestibular dysfunctions that lead to the development of acute cerebral ischemia. The importance of the influence of vestibular physiology, affective neuroscience and so-cial neuroscience require a correction of manifestations of dizziness, as a factor in the risk of stroke by Citoflavin drug has a pronounced antiischemic and antioxidant effect, significantly preventing the build-up of ischemic damage to brain tissue. Drug, including in biochemical power shunt, helps to prevent unwanted effects that are typical of ischemic tissue to stabilize the work of their own antioxidant systems.
