“…Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been frequent reports of adolescents who are tired of studying, which has aroused widespread concern. Academic boredom refers to a negative attitude toward learning, during which students experience emotional exhaustion ( Lin and Huang, 2014 ; Ying et al, 2016 ; Supervía et al, 2020 ). This can directly lead to a decline in academic performance ( May et al, 2015 ), which in turn reduces students’ academic involvement, damages their interpersonal relationships with classmates and teachers, and affects students’ long-term career development ( Perry et al, 2010 ; Rojas-Flores et al, 2015 ; Quin, 2016 ).…”

It is evident that this literature review and adaptation study will shed further light into the study of goal orientation of the students and help researchers take advantage of the instruments both English and Turkish further.…”

“…On the other hand, because very recently published studies have still taken a vague approach to the study of goal orientation, this study is particularly significant from the perspective that it elaborates a detailed explanation and historical background in the literature review section as well as offering an adapted instrument for immediate use. For example, Supervía et al (2020a), suggested that goal orientation and emotional intelligence are used interchangeably, which call for suspicion as the adapted instrument is capable of yielding hard data as to the levels of the goal orientation in students. They also regard goal orientation as a psychological variable, which is unlike any other previous core literature.…”

“…PA could enhance sleep by helping individuals cope with stress, indicating that stress management could be a nonpharmaceutical treatment for sleep improvement. Considering the mental health of young people, Usán Supervía et al [14] examined the relationships between the constructs of goal orientations, emotional intelligence, and burnout in high school students. The authors outlined that the psychological profile arising from these features could be important for academic performance and school participation.…”
