Abstract:The article examines the relationship between self-assessment of human greed and assessment of the greed of the
others. It has been shown that young people's perceptions of greed are ambivalent: greed is described as a defect,
something bad that makes a person vulnerable, lowers his/her self-esteem, causes trouble, prevents him/her from living
