“…In a study, using VAPP, Faham et al reported significantly different results in dysphonia cases compared to healthy individuals; the group with dysphonia reported highest score for daily communication section, followed by emotion section, effect on social interaction and lowest for influence on job. 16 As VAPP measures the parameters pertaining to quality of life (Qol) and, to be precise, an individual with increased dysphonia might face limitations in daily activities related to voice use as reflected in the current study. Stephanie C et al reported both negative and positive effects of professional voice usage, despite being insignificant, more negative clinical signs were observed in the study.…”

“…The VAPP, proposed by Ma and Yiu, [9] has shown to be a reliable and valid instrument to measure the voice-related quality of life in patients, and has been translated into multiple languages, such as versions of Spanish, [10] Persian, [11] Italian, [12] and Finnish. [13] The Mandarin (Simplified) Chinese version of the VAPP, we used in our study, was translated recently and was determined to have with high internal consistency, high Cronbach alpha coefficiency, and high test–retest reliability.…”

“…Test-retest reliability was determined by re-administration following a 2-week interval. This interval time was sufficiently long for patients not to remember their previous responses to the items and also short enough to remove the subjective voice factors [23, 27]. The computed values for test-retest reliability imply that it can be expected that this scale measures catastrophization in a stable fashion.…”

“…This instrument was cross-culturally translated and validated for Persian speakers, and its various psychometric properties were investigated. Developers of the VAPPP reported satisfactory construct validity and reliability [23]. Participants completed the VAPPP after the P-VCI.…”
