Abstract:Functionalized with the Au‐S bond, gold nanoflares have emerged as promising candidates for theranostics. However, the presence of intracellular abundantly biothiols compromises the conventional Au‐S bond, leading to unintended release of cargoes and associated side‐effects on non‐target cells.
