Public perspectives toward long-term care staff's interventions in the sexual relationships of residents with dementia

Abstract: This study used a multiple segment factorial vignette to explore the attitudes of the public toward a dementia-caused non-spousal sexual relationship in a long-term care facility. Specific elements examined included the degree of intimacy, obligation of long-term care staff to intervene in the relationship, and the healthy spouse's disposition.
