Publicly Engaged Sociological Research for Immigrant Well-Being

Abstract: Drawing inspiration from the long tradition of U.S. sociology and from Latin American sociology, I describe a few examples of how I have endeavored to make my scholarship available to the public and to inform policy to enhance immigrant well-being. I frame this piece within discussions around public, policy, critical, and professional sociology to underscore that these strands of the discipline do not conflict but draw strength from one another.
