Pulsars: implications from Fermi LAT observations and future prospects

Abstract: Gamma-ray observations with the Fermi Large Area Telescope (LAT) have revealed significant pulsations from more than 200 young and recycled, millisecond pulsars. These observations have demonstrated that pulsars are by far the largest source class in the Galactic plane at GeV energies, and more gamma-ray pulsars are still being revealed by the LAT.
