Abstract:We introduce a method for the synthesis of pulse waveforms that possess a given time-bandwidth product, have narrow auto-correlation functions, and simultaneously, small cross-correlation functions. Pulse sets with such characteristics are desirable in various contexts in communications and ranging applications: the narrow auto-correlation property provides noise-immunity and enhances temporal resolution, while small cross-correlations minimize mutual interference in multipleaccess systems. We leverage the ene… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
