Abstract:Germ Cell Tumors (GCTs) constitute approximately only 3% of all malignancies in children younger than 15 years of age. Primary extragonadal GCTs constitute only 1-5% of all GCTs and a retroperitoneal site is seen only in 4% of all extragonadal GCTs. Yolk sac tumor is the predominant variant in newborns and younger children. GCTs of stomach are very very rare.We report for the first time, the presentation of a primary yolk sac tumor arising from the stomach of a small child.
