Pyridine-driven assembly of Zn(ii) and Cd(ii) complexes with 2-furoic acid. The role of water in a structural transformation

Abstract: Coordination of the furane ring has been attempted in five Zn(ii) and Cd(ii) complexes and achieved by water-assisted structural transformation. It has been traced by X-ray and fluorescence experiments and a conversion pathway has been proposed.
