Abstract:Pink-eyed dilution castaneus (Oca2p-cas) is a mutant gene on mouse chromosome 7 that arose spontaneously in wild Mus musculus castaneus. Homozygotes for Oca2p-cas exhibit pink eyes and a light gray coat throughout life.
