Quad‐band Gysel power divider based on coupled lines

Abstract: A quad-band Gysel power divider based on the coupled-line network is proposed. The closed-form equations are derived to solve even-and odd-mode impedances of the coupled lines. For illustration, a prototype operating at 0.6, 1.41, 2.14 and 2.95 GHz is designed and fabricated. The measured results show a good agreement with the simulated ones.

“…It can be seen from the comparison that the proposed work has four arbitrary design frequencies unlike Ref. 28 which only has three. Also, the proposed divider is the first multi-band Gysel power divider to be capable of achieving both equal and unequal power division with satisfactory performance at the four bands.…”

“…In recent years, many developments aimed to introduce design and performance improvements to this family of power dividers. These developments focused on achieving compactness, harmonic suppression, wideband operation, reconfigurability, unequal power division, multiband operation, or a combination of the preceding features …”
