Quadricuspid aortic valve: case report and literature review

Abstract: Introduction: Quadricuspid aortic valve is a rare anatomical abnormality, its incidence ranging from 0.008% to 0.033%. Case Report: Wedescribe the case of a female patient with a quadricuspid aortic valve. The direct visualization showed a type E quadricuspid aortic valve. Aftercomplete excision of the valve, it was replaced by a 23mm biological prosthesis. Postoperative recovery was uneventful.
