Background: Quality of life is becoming a central issue in patient care. In response to the increasing prevalence of hypertension worldwide, it is important to understand quality of life in hypertensive patients. Objective: To describe the quality of life in hypertensive patients at Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted on 172 subjects from May 2020 to July 2021 on hypertensive patients being treated at the Internal Medicine Department - Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital. The study used a cross-sectional descriptive research method. Descriptive statistics were used to test the mean score of quality of life. Results: WHOQOL – BREF Cronbach’s alpha coefficient for 26 items is 0.811, demonstrating good internal consistency. Based on the 33rd and 66th percentile scores on the total quality of life score, most of the patients participating in the study rated the quality of life at an average level when comprehensively surveyed across four domains. In which, the average score in the field of environment has the highest rate (mean score is 55.32; SD = 10.29), the lowest is in the field of physical health (average score 45.67; SD = 13.57). Conclusion: WHOQOL - BREF is a useful and highly reliable tool to assess the quality of life of hypertensive patients. With these results achieved, action is needed to improve the quality of life of hypertensive patients.

Background The number of pediatric SOT recipients surviving into adulthood is increasing. Thus, understanding their psychosocial and QoL outcomes is important. We conducted a systematic review to collate existing literature examining QoL outcomes (physical functioning, psychological functioning, social functioning), as well as risk and protective factors associated with QoL, among adults who underwent SOT during childhood. Methods A systematic search of five databases, from inception to January 6, 2021, was conducted to identify articles that reported on QoL outcomes for adults (≥18‐year of age) who received a SOT during childhood (<19‐year of age). Results Twenty‐five articles met inclusion criteria. Studies examined QoL across a range of SOT populations (liver, kidney, heart). QoL and psychosocial outcomes were variable; however, the majority of studies indicated QoL in this population to be similar to the general population, or at least similar to other chronic illness groups, with the exception of physical and social functioning. Factors related to a more optimal medical course, younger age at transplant and follow‐up, and positive psychosocial functioning, were found to be predictive of better QoL outcomes. Conclusions While several studies indicated QoL to be similar to the general population, the literature is limited in both quantity and quality. No study employed prospective, longitudinal methodologies to systematically evaluate QoL over time and few studies utilized normative‐based measures of QoL. Furthermore, several SOT groups were under‐represented in the literature (e.g., lung, intestine, multi‐visceral). Nonetheless, findings have implications for intervention and clinical decision‐making.

Objetivo: Identificar através da literatura impactos que a atresia biliar provoca em crianças acometidas e em sua família. Método: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura realizada entre julho e setembro de 2022, utilizando bases de dados e bibliotecas SCOPUS, PUBMED e EBSCO. Realizou-se adequação dos descritores para busca de acordo com a base ou biblioteca, sendo estes: caregivers, “biliary atresia”, “child care”, family, child, “child care subject”, combinados com o operador booleano AND. Os estudos foram selecionados de forma criteriosa e sistematizada, avaliados quanto ao nível de evidência. Resultados: Na busca primária, identificou-se 1441 artigos e após criteriosa seleção, 7 estudos foram selecionados para compor a análise qualitativa. Obteve-se como principais resultados dos impactos da atresia biliar para as crianças, dizem respeito as consequências oriundas da doença no que se refere a necessidade de procedimento cirúrgico que impactam negativamente na qualidade de vida. Já os impactos para a família dizem respeito a consequências para a saúde mental e baixa qualidade de vida aliados ao desconhecimento sobre cuidados com a criança e excesso de preocupação. Conclusão: Este estudo possibilitou a identificação dos impactos que a atresia biliar provoca em crianças acometidas e em sua família, apontando contribuições significativas para o cuidado em enfermagem.
