Quantifying the evaporation rate of sessile droplets using a quartz crystal microbalance

Abstract: This study quantifies the evaporation rate of sessile droplets using a quartz crystal microbalance (QCM). Specifically, we analyze the evaporation of water droplets on a gold-coated flat surface exposed to dry nitrogen at different temperatures.
