Abstract:Background: Epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) is the fat deposited between the myocardium and epicardium. Due to its unique anatomical position, EAT has both protective and harmful effects on the heart, influencing conditions such as coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, and heart failure.
